Isabel Quinzanos Alonso
Isabel Quinzaños Alonso is a theatre director, administrator and educator who has worked in the UK, Switzerland, and her homeland, Mexico. Isabel trained in Theatre Directing at Drama Centre London, and has an MA in Arts Administration and Cultural Policy from Goldsmiths University. Isabel moved to New York in October 2016. In London, she worked as Manager of the Education Department at Out of Joint, a touring theatre company based in the UK, and assistant directed Jane Wenham on The Witch of Walkern by Rebecca Lenkiewicz and All That Fall by Samuel Beckett. She collaborated with CASA Latin American Theatre Festival, where she developed and directed an original piece, Private Thoughts in Public Spaces (Scratch Night winner) and directed a public reading for the festival, Select Man, Marinate Until Tender. She directed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, where her show House of Gingerbread by Benjamin Askew was a Pick of the Fringe. She directed Small Group for Articulate Theatre Company, and is currently working on The Sex Myth, slated to open August 2017. |
