LIGHTING DESIGNER

For Articuate:
Articulating the Arts: Tales in Time

Douglas Cox designed the Lighting for Articulate’s Tales in Time.  Recent projects include Mother Emanuel, (Best Musical, 2016 NY Fringe Festival). 

He has designed for Baltimore Opera, Syracuse Opera, Connecticut Grand Opera, Arkansas Rep, Passage Theater, 29th Street Rep, Shakespeare and Co., Manhattan School of Music, Bronx Opera and New York City Children's Theater, among many others. 

He has been honored with the Emmy and Lumen Awards.  His television design credits include work for ABC, NBC, CNN, CNBC, the YES Network and Sesame Street. 

Doug is a Trustee of United Scenic Artists, Local USA-829, the National Labor Union representing Designers and Painters for the American Theater.  One of his first jobs in the theater was at Circle Repertory Company, the group which has provided inspiration to many members of Articulate.
