Rebecca Mazumdar

Rebecca Mazumdar made her debut as a playwright with "Breaking News," part of Articulate Theater Company's Holiday Radio Plays.  She is Associate Professor of English at New York City College of Technology  (City University of New York), and the founder of Matters of Taste, a food and travel blog that explores the connections among food, culture, and place. 

Her academic interests include the intersections among architecture, literature, and collective myth-building during the Cold War.  She is also Book Review and Interviews Editor at the academic journal New American Notes Online. She grew up in small town Kentucky and now lives with her husband in Queens.
