Isabelle Dungan was born in London, but moved to New York City by the age of 10. She was quick to lose her English accent -- although she can resurrect it for the right part! Today she considers herself a native New Yorker. A natural born performer, Isabelle has spent most of her life on stage. In her youth, Isabelle was an accomplished cellist - performing all over New York. She attended NYU's Gallatin School of Individualized Study where she created her own major and focused on acting. She studied theater at NYU at La Mama Theatre (including an entire semester on the Greek chorus) and in Paris, playing the role of Estelle in Sartre's famous play No Exit in French. After graduating college, Isabelle continued to pursue acting -- studying Meisner technique for a year with Joanna Beckson. Next, she attended T. Schreiber Studio's One Year Conservatory, where she was immersed in everything from Chekov to Shakespeare to body & vocal workshops, as well as on-camera & commercial classes. Recently, Isabelle starred in a VH1 pilot shot in North Dakota and in an Intel "Wearables" commercial. She is currently shooting the indie feature Early Light and working in a play Manny's Last Stand (premiering in March) alongside Austin Pendleton. Isabelle is thrilled to be a part of the Articulate Company as it incorporates all her interests, passions, and keeps her creatively inspired and motivated by an amazing pool of talented artists. |
