Our Mission
- Articulate Theatre Company strives to honor its name by creating theatre that IS articulate, and also articulates productions involving timeless issues.
- We thrive on being storytellers and using all the elements of that craft to vibrantly bring to life the universal truth of issues common to all people - love, hate, fear, hope, compassion, vengeance and more.
- We are committed to challenging and connecting audiences and artists with clearly structured work that is intelligent, thought-provoking and visually striking. Each production will emphasize clear communication both vocally and via the storyline; support that clarity theatrically by giving production values (lights, set, sound, etc) their proper value in the telling of the story; and use it all to connect artists to each other as well as connect stories to our audience.
Articulate Theatre Company got its start in NYC in January of 2013, when Cat Parker called together 40+ colleagues and floated the idea of a theatre company to them. The discussion was passionate, smart, and overwhelmingly positive. So we had our "what." In February, we met again to discuss our "how." The business minded folks came together to mold a plan for the company, and the creatives started discussing potential projects and productions.
