Thornton Wilder’s Pulitzer Prize-winning play tells the epic story of man — with the occasional Woolly Mammoth — complete with ice storms, floods, and war. The absurdities of society’s reactions to the recurrent problems of climate change, corruption and war receive a tart and timely revival, and the meta-theatrics just empathize how close our world is to the one on the stage.
