Articulate Theatre Company is an ensemble driven company that thrives on being storytellers. Our simple mantra is 'good stories, told well.' Guided by the three definitions of 'articulate,' -clarity, structure and connectivity- we are committed to challenging and connecting audiences and artist with clearly structured work that is intelligent, thought-provoking and visually striking. Story-telling is the heart of theatre.
COMING SOONDecember 2025, Articulate will produce the RADIO PLAY version of "It's a Wonderful Life"
by Joe Landry (contract pending) THE BACK STORY Articulate is working to open a theatre and arts coalition space at 40Main in Downtown Toms River. To do that, we have to raise awareness (and funds) about who we are and what we hope to achieve. We decided there was no better way to introduce ourselves than to do what we do best: theatre! So, we invite you to the "raw" space at 40Main to see a show, get to know us, and hopefully become a lasting supporter of Articulate Theatre and a coalition of the arts in Toms River! Ticketing details pending. Please join our mailing list to be among the first people notified when everything is confirmed! |
2025 PROGRAMMINGArticulate Theatre is teaming up with the Ocean County Artists Guild to bring a benefit performance of Articulating the Arts: The Artist's Journey This brand new play follows our artist as she traverses a magical realm where art, and the masters of art, come alive to help her overcome the roadblocks we all face when we chase our dreams. |
A POST-COVID UPDATE
When Covid sent the world into a tailspin, theatre was hit - very hard. It became impossible for Articulate to continue to function in New York City, so we moved to New Jersey. Not just right across the river, but way down in the middle, near Toms River. We have taken some time to get to know the area, and have begun re-building Articulate here. Our initial production in New Jersey was "Doctor Frankenstein," with Ocean County College, and it was a smash success. Want to know what we're doing next?
