OCTOBER 2017
Stark Wilz [actor] will be appearing as Nigel Haversham in Neville Mur’s “A Transylvania Tale” in late October at Manhattan’s Polaris North Theatre, part of its Plays and Prestidigitation Series – “The Fright Edition” –  timed to coincide with Halloween.  The show is Admission Free.

Michael Gnat
[actor] will appear as both a Mormon local politician (Cliff) and a Nevadan retiree (Henry) in Leegrid Stevens's look at local politics in Mesquite, NV -- which shares many features of politics at the larger level. Workshop Theater's Main Stage, October 5-28.

Dennis Parichy [designer] will be designing Donizetti’s The Siege of Calais for the Odyssey Opera Co. of Boston in October. He has just done an hour-and-a-half lighting design presentation for “The Pirate University” – a training program of Corporate Audio Visual Services for their staff . He will be designing The Enlightment of Mr. Mole, a new adaptation of The Wind in the Willows and The Gift of the Magi for the Schoolhouse Theatre in November and December, followed by Morning’s at Seven for People’s Light & Theatre Co.

Katrin Hilbe [director] directs Ful Nabit by J. Thalia Cunningham for the Theater Brut festival of New Jersey Rep, October 1st. Katrin is also busy producing as co-chair the 2017 Gilder/Coigney International Theatre Award of the League of Professional Theatre Women, honoring Dutch theatre artist Adelheid Roosen.


SEPTEMBER 2017
Eric Seigel [director] will be directing the TED NYC Global Event at Town Hall on September 20th.

Katrin Hilbe [director] directs Savage in Limbo by John Patrick Shanley in a Liechtenstein dialect translation in Vaduz (Liechtenstein), Zürich (Switzerland), and Dornbirn (Austria) in co-production of her company ManyTracks and Schlösslekeller Vaduz, September 11 - 24.

Russell Jordan [actor] reprises the role of 'Donovan' in The Other Side of Silence’s (TOSOS) production of Doric Wilson’s Street Theater, directed by Mark Finley. (New York Innovative Theatre nomination for Outstanding Ensemble and won Outstanding Revival of a Play.) Performs at The Eagle Bar NYC from September 20-October 4, 2017. AUGUST 2017
Stark Wilz is appearing in 2017’s UNFringed Festival at The Secret Theatre, playing “Talker” in Coni Koepfinger’s play AfterLife, directed by Joan Kane.  Following the show’s run in August, it will move in an excerpted version to The Theatre for the New City during September as part of the DreamUp Festival and the Voire Dire Project.

Helen Abell [actor] is in Logan Lucky, directed by Steven Soderbergh. In theatres August 18th.

Sergei Burbank [actor] has been named resident playwright with Quick Silver Theater Company. www.quicksilvertheater.com

Robert Verlaque [actor] guest stars in  1/2 hour comedy "Working Moms" season Two, on CBC, Canada, airing in the US shortly. Look for his guest star appearance on "Wynonna Earp" on SYFY channel, Season Two, airing now and on demand.  He is also In post-production for "Job in Purgatory", a short film he wrote and directed.

Sergei Burbank’s [playwright/actor] play The Ass of the Prophet will be featured as part of Quicksilver Theater Company's second annual Playwright of Colors Summit in Geneva, New York. More info HERE. Public readings will be presented on 6/9 and 6/10.

Karen Ledger [Costume Designer] will be designing for the Village Theatre's upcoming production of Dreamgirls directed by artistic director Steve Thomkins opening mid-May 2017.

Bara Swain [playwright] is producing a women’s festival of staged readings at Urban Stages, The Slogan Plays, on May 7th @3pm.  The event is free.  Her short play, The Best or Nothing, will be featured in A New Memory at Symphony Space on May 15th, produced by Athena Theatre.  Bara also has second productions of To Every Thing There is a Season (first produced in ATC's Articulating the Arts) by the Jewish Women's Theatre in California and Georgia (2017 EdgeFest, Birdhouse Theatre). 


April 2017
Bara Swain [playwright] will have Florida productions of her plays, Protocol and Give and Take, at the LSSC Short Play Festival in April.

Crystal Edn [actor] will be playing the role of Vera in Rising Sun Performance Company's production of Child's Play.

Dennis Parichy [Designer] will light Death of a Salesman for Pittsburgh Public Theatre.

Grant Bowen [actor/playwright] will be playing Dromio of Ephesus/Courtesan/Aemilia in Valley Shakespeare Festival's touring production of The Comedy of Errors. April 27th-May 5th in Shelton, CT.

Robert Verlaque [actor] appeared as a Guest Star on first season of Blacklist:Redemption on NBC.  He also filmed a Guest Star role on Wynonna Earp second season for SYFY channel.

Robin Rice's [playwright] play Yesterday Was Better has been chosen by the Women in the Arts and Media Coalition to be part of "Conversations in America: Under the Gun," an evening of curated pieces about gun violence. SVA Theatre. Free.

Katrin Hilbe [director] directs a reading of  These Things Happen by Natalie Bates at the WorkShop Theater Company, on March 5th, 6pm in their Sunday@6 series.

Robin Rice’s [playwright] play Josewulf  has won the Santa Ana River Review prize for Dramatic Writing.
She is also one of five finalists for 2017 Playwrights for a Cause.

Katrin Hilbe [Director] directs Duck by Tom Block at the Human Rights Art Festival, on March 4th, 4:30pm, Dixon Place.

George Allison [Set Designer] and Dennis Parichy [Lighting Designer] will design Loose Ends for T. Schreiber Studio in March.

Russell Jordan [actor] will perform in Haram! Iran! as a judge hearing the case against two Iranian teenagers accused of engaging in homosexual activity. Based on a true story. March 3-March 19 at TADA! Theater.

Bara Swain [playwright]'s short play, In Fine Print, was produced at the Jewish Women's Theatre in LA, and Viable has been selected for publication in the NPDW Anthology of New Works (Leicester Bay Theatricals).  Her play, Turn! Turn! Turn!, inspired by last year's AtA, is being produced in Artistic New Direction's Eclectic Evening of Shorts in February.

Katrin Hilbe [Director] is directing two readings: The Endless April by Yaroslava Pulinovich for New York Theatre Workshop, November 7th, 2pm,  and three comedies about sex by Richard Curtis, on December 15, 7-9pm at St. Malachy's Church. Katrin has recently joined the Playwrights-Directors Unit of the Actors Studio and writes for CUNY's magazine European Stages.

September 2016
Andrea Frierson [actor/singer] will star in her one woman show, "me & ella" with The York Theatre,  Company September 19th@ 7pm & Tuesday, September 20th@2pm.  Andrea will also be teaching a Master Class in self-created work at Manhattan School of Music's new Musical Theatre Program in October.

Bara Swain's [playwright] short play, Viable, was recently staged at the 2016 ATHE Conference in Chicago as part of their New Play Development Workshop.  Her play, Responsible, is being produced in LA at The New American Theatre this month.

AWARDS! - Many of our members participated in the summer festivals this year, and received nominations for their excellent work! The New York Innovative Theatre announced their nominations for 2016, which included: George Allison,  Jill Bianchini, Andy Evan Cohen, Desmond Dutcher, Michael Gnat, Russell Jordan, Allan Knee,Wendy Mae Shelton, and Maeve Yore. Likewise, Planet Connections Theatre Festivity announced their nominees, which included Jill Bianchini, Andy Evan Cohen, Mary Monahan, Imran Sheikh, and Wendy Mae Shelton. Congrats!

Bara Swain [playwright] has short play productions in Georgia (LITTLE BLACK DRESS, Birdhouse Theatre), West Virginia (FIRST DO NO HARM, The Old Opera House), and Brooklyn (THE LAST RESORT, Gallery Players Black Box Festival).  Her film, PROTOCOL, will be featured in the Fastnet Film Festival in Ireland.  A staged reading of INSULATION will be presented at "The Hat Plays" (Urban Stages, NYC) on June 26.

Maeve Yore [actor] plays Harper Regan in T. Schreiber Studio's production of the play of the same name. Other Articulate members involved include George Allison (set design), Dennis Parichy (lighting design), Andy Cohen (sound design) and Page Clements (dialect coach).

Robin Rice's [playwright] play Blood Sisters, about nuns in full-activist mode, has been chosen for an evening performance at 13th Street Rep in the In Her Name on Saturday, April 16. Click for tickets.  She also has a one-act play being produced in May in Nebraska (Gloom, Doom and Soul-Crushing Misery). Her play, Play Nice!, was also recently published.

Joanne Dorian [actor] appeared in a reading of a new two character comedy, THE PARTY STORE, by Emmy and Golden Globe winning writer/producer/director, George Lefferts, for Urban Stages.


March 2016
Dennis Parichy [designer] will be designing lights for T. Schreiber Studio, "Natural Life" and for The Schoolhouse Theatre, "A Cambodian Lullaby."

Robin Rice's [playwright] short play about nuns in full-activist mode, Blood Sisters, is part of 365-NYC-4 readings on March 23, at Theater for the New City. Allan Knee [playwright] has a new play opening at the Workshop Theatre Company. The author of The Man Who Was Peter Pan (original inspiration for Finding Neverland) The Astonishing Times of Timothy Cratchet runs from the December 3rd to 19th.

Katrin Hilbe [director] will be directing a concert reading of J. Thalia Cunningham's play First, Do No Harm, February 4-6, 2016 for the WorkShop Theater Company.

Robin Rice [playwright] is participating in a writing challenge from Red Theatre (Chicago) to write a play each and every day in November. She says, "The prompts Red Theatre sends each day aren't simply words or situations,ut complex problems that require real thought and test your skill. This makes keeping up far from easy, but also acts as a strong learning tool. Since nobody's evaluating what I send, I can go wild."

Robin Rice [playwright] has a world premiere opening at The Lounge Theatres in Hollywood, CA. In WOMEN w/o WALLS four women are trapped in an express subway train to an unknown destination. Inspired by Sartre's NO EXIT. Production is by Broads' Word Theatre, and is directed by Frances Loy of the Royal Shakespeare Company. November 7-December 12.

Amanda Prasow [actor] just wrapped the role of “Assistant Director” in The Café, Rob Asaro’s short comedy about a reality tv crew. She can be seen next in a staged reading of Laura Rorhman’s Hoboken with Rising Sun Peformance Company’s Laboratorium series on Wed, Nov 11. 

Robert Verlaque [Actor] recently MC'd our tremendous toast to Circle Rep - "Circling Back." When he's not on stage, he's in front of a camera, starring in TV and film roles such as: "Reign" guest star as Court Doctor Wylkys to Queen Elizabeth I (airs Nov 20th 8pm on CW network); "The Games Maker,"  stars with Joseph Fiennes, Ed Asner, David Mazouz, Tom Cavanagh (opens in Canada in November 2015, US to follow); guest star as Laurent Bouchard in Marvel/Netflix series "Jessica Jones" (airs on Netflix December 2015); and stars opposite Logan Lerman, Tracy Letts in "Indignation," written and directed by Oscar winner James Schamus (premieres January 2016).

Dennis Parichy [designer] just designed the lighting for Auctioning the Ainsleys at People’s Light & Theatre Co., Much Ado About Nothing for Frog and Peaches Theatre Co. at The Workshop Theatre and has been nominated for a Barrymore Award [Philadelphia] for Outstanding Lighting Design for The Cherry Orchard at People’s Light.

Denise Pence [actor] is teaching monthly at the SAG-AFTRA Conservatory Seminar "The Business of the Buzz." 

Shetal Shah [actor] is performing in Macbeth (of the Oppressed) with Fab Marqee Productions, and her film, On Golden Years, won Best Feature Film at the International Film Festival Manhattan.


July 2015

Cynthia Shaw [actor] appears as Grandmother in Judy Klass’ futuristic retelling of the Moliere story in “After Tartuffe,” directed by Janet Bentley, at The Wild Project.  With fellow Articulator Mary Monahan.


Carolyn Seiff [actor] played hard of hearing Ethel in the wonderful farce by Ken Ludwig, "Moon Over Buffalo", at the reimagined Shadowland Theatre in Ellenville, NY. The multi talented cast was delightfully directed by Artistic Director, Brendan Burke.

Cynthia Shaw [Actor] is in The Gallery Players Black Box Series of new one-act plays, in Judd Lear Silverman's play, Crackers. Two beautifully written inter-woven monologues are performed by two woman which ultimately bring the story full circle in a very creative way. Performances: June 5, 6 & 7 at 8:00 pm, June 8 at 3:00 pm.

NOVEMBER 2013

Robert Verlaque [Actor, Director, Teacher, Playwright] Just finished production on Disney's "The Games Maker (due out Spring of 2014) in a lead role opposite Joseph Fiennes, Ed Asner. Played "William Wilson" in Season 4 of Boardwalk Empire (episode 7), and guest starred on NBC's "Saving Hope." Also did a national commerical for Scotiabank iTrade. On the theatrical front, Bob recently directed new plays by John Patrick Shanley, Robert Askins, Don Nigro for NyLonFusion. He is also the author of original play Icarus Sings which is in pre-production in Oregon following a workshop in Toronto.

Katrin Hilbe [Director] Katrin has two events coming up. First is a reading of Crossing the Line by J. Thalia Cunningham, which is part of Workshop Theater Company's Sunday @6 series and takes place on Nov 10. And then on Dec 5th, she is directing a production of John McKinney's Unprimed as part of the SuperShorts Festival. You can get more info here.

Robin Rice Lichtig's [Playwright] bizarre little play Escape in a White Toyota will be on stage in Emerging Artists Theatre's New Works series. (5 p.m., Saturday, October 19, TADA! Theatre, 15 W. 28th St., 3rd floor). Toyota is being expanded to full length thanks to readings in ATC's Artists Salon. 

Eric Percival [Actor, Founding Member] can next be seen Off-Broadway in My Purple Wig, produced by Heiress Productions, a not-for-profit organization committed to raising cancer awareness. Eric plays a husband thrown into serio-comic turmoil by his quirky wife's cancer diagnosis.

Richard Dezmond (Zekaria) [Actor, Founding Member] has been cast in Theatre For A New City's Samantha and the Glass Ceiling.
